This certificate program is linked to workplace training and practice to bring graduates of pharmacy degrees in Australia to a high level of advanced professional competence in Pharmacy Practice.
The Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice comprises four 6-point units to a total value of 24 points.
The first two units (Applied Pharmacy Practice 1 and Applied Pharmacy Practice 2) provide the formalised post-pharmacy degree training (Intern Training Program) required by the Pharmacy Board of Australia for registration to practise pharmacy in Australia.
The subsequent two units build on this foundation to provide a higher level of training and professionalism to bring pharmacists to an advanced level of professional competence in Pharmacy Practice.
and for international applicants, successful completion of the Australian Pharmacy Council’s skills assessment for overseas (international) applicants.
Applicants must hold provisional registration as a pharmacist and have a supervised practice position and preceptor approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia on commencement of the course.
All applicants for UWA coursework programs must demonstrate a minimum level of English Language Competence.
